Never Call It Quits
I’d estimate that several thousand bloggers call it quits each day, from rather large blogs to those that never write a single post. These people: a) became bored with blogging, b) had a negative/undesired results, c) had a major life-changing event, preventing them from continuing their hobby, or d) simply moved on for another reason.
As a blogger, there are several reasons why you should never, ever call it quits.
— You will be able to develop the site into a successful portal within a year or so, even if you aren’t the main writer, and then sell the blog for upwards of ten thousand dollars, even if you only have a few hundred subscribers. It has happened before and is bound to happen again.
— Your readers will be disappointed. Imagine if large companies shut down simply due to every minor argument the owners or higher-up workers have. There wouldn’t be any left in operation. Your main goal when you started was to inform other readers.
— Building your writing and communication skills has more benefits than you might think. Eventually, people will recognize this and possibly hire you for the work you placed on your blog.
— Spammers will take over your blog. You wouldn’t want this to happen. Ads for various drugs, prescriptions, and spam services will pop up and your work will be left behind, hindered by hundreds of comments for cheap drugs.
Have you ever ended writing on a blog - did you simply close (deleting the entire blog) or did you leave it open for further comments?
